Scanning Slides (Photography)

As part of our photography course we needed to learn how to scan and manipulate slides.  I scanned two slides that were provided to me, and then used the scanners properties to adjust and correct the colour levels.  This was a relatively simple process, and honestly most of this is easily done with the scanner's own software.  The first two images are the unaltered versions.

Using the scanner's software, the colour was then adjusted and modified by accounting for the film material and the properties it inflicted upon the image.  Below are the colour corrected scans of these two slides.

It's clear to see the difference between these two images.  Not only is the colour affected, but the contrast is changed too, meaning the image can become clearer and more defined.  The levels of light is increased.
