Photography Editing (Photography)
I went through the photographs that I had taken and tried to find my favourite and best ones. Once I had a small selection, each of them was then taken into Photoshop and edited. Each one was cropped to a standard 4:5 image size, and were treated to some colour tweaks and changes. Below is a before and after of all the images, Before images on top, followed by the After images.
For this one, I simply increased the saturation a very slight amount and increased the vibrancy, to make the standard, primary colours stand out more.
Similarly with this one, I wanted the base primary colours to stand out. The saturation was increased to make the colours more representative of their true appearance.
I'm not sure if I'll keep this one. It's definitely the least relevant to my theme. Again, saturation increase as well as a vibrancy tweak.
This one only had some minor vibrancy increases. Playing with the saturation affected the background too much.
I increased the vibrancy, didn't really touch the saturation. I also edited the background to completely fill the background, something I never intended to show on the original image.
I increased the vibrancy and decreased the lightness. I wanted this one to be darker, but I could never rid the image of the shine on the figures. It wasn't quite what I was hoping for.
This one was mostly left as it was. Aside from the cropping that all of them went through.
Much like most of these, saturation and vibrancy increase. Not much else other than that.
Much like before, saturation increase and vibrancy. In truth, I felt the yellow on the faces for most of these was coming off too cold and clinical, which is really why I went to these lengths to increase the saturation and sometimes hue.
Saturation increase, vibrancy increase and a saturation shift towards warmer colours. Very slight.
This one had a large hue change towards red and purple, vibrancy increase though the saturation is about the same.
With all of these images, I honestly didn't really want to play with them too much, I just wanted them all to look and feel a little warmer. I cropped them all to keep them consistent. Following this, I will select my final 10 and present them in the order I wish for them to be viewed.
